Southland College and New Hope International sign a Memorandum of Understanding

On Tuesday, 27th February, Rev Dr Ross Clifford and Rev Bob Frisken signed a memorandum of understanding between Southland College and New Hope International.  Dr Bridget Aitchison, the Principal of Southland College expressed her excitement at the potential for Southland and New Hope International to work together to support the work of Christian teachers functioning in incredibly demanding circumstances.  She spoke of the importance of the work of Southland and NHI who have a shared vision to train teachers in what it means to teach Biblically as a Christian in a school.

Rev Frisken, the Director of New Hope International, said that he believed that just as Christian schooling has had a significant impact on Australia and New Zealand it would also make a big impact on the less developed nations and would bring hope to countries that today seem hopeless. NHI was committed to helping the churches in these nations train their young people to be radical disciples of Jesus Christ.

Bob reminded the students of Morling that he was a Morling graduate himself and he looked forward to this new association with Southland College and its parent institute Morling College which has had such a significant impact on the training of Christians for effective discipleship in Australia and overseas.
