Graduate Diploma of Education
The Graduate Diploma of Education is an optional exit point after four units have been studied in the Master of Education course.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
For the Graduate Diploma of Education, an applicant should have a degree with a major in education or a Diploma in Education. Prospective candidates with a three-year teaching diploma/certificate should undertake the Bachelor of Education (Conversion) course before applying for the Master’s program.
AUDITING
It is also possible to undertake the Graduate Diploma of Education on an audit basis; ie not for credit towards receiving the Graduate Diploma Degree. Audit students receive unit materials and can be involved in class activities but are not required to submit any assessment tasks. Audit students may elect to have individual tuition by the lecturer and may also elect to have access to Southland College's library for a small fee. No transfer of credit can be given for an audited unit. Students who cover four units by audit will receive a Certificate of Audit.
There are no entry requirements for auditing courses.
To complete the Graduate Diploma of Education, four units must be studied including one (1) core unit.
